Background My 3D Printed CNC machine project has been sitting in my basement for over a year now. Unfortunately, some of the parts turned out to be too weak with the 3D printing technique, and I needed to find a solution. Ideally, I needed metal or aluminum parts that could support the constraints of the belt. I searched for an affordable online CNC service for a long time, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I finally succeeded.

Background Now that we have created a device to measure our solar production , it is the perfect timing to improve it. In the previous post, all the electronic components are exposed to the dust and anyone can potentially disconnect the components - intentionally or not. It would be nice to secure everything in a custom made enclosure !

Background I think, like most of the 3D Printer guys, you have your printer in your basement. This is indeed a great place, but it means each time you are about to start a print, you have to go downstairs, start the power switch, and go back at your computer place and star the print. OctoPrint is easy to get remote access to the printer, but, what about controlling the power switch ?!?

Background Now that you have the perfect enclosure, you are looking at improving it ! One add-on you may think at is a filament runout sensor. There is nothing more frustrating than a failed print because your spool is empty. On the other end, sometimes, you are reluctant to start printing with a almost exhaust spool. Then, I have a fix for you !

Background There are a lot of article on the Internet about this topic. How to "turn Ikea Lack tables to 3D printing enclosure?" This is a trending topic. But to be honest, I never find the one that takes your by hand from start to finish. This is the challenge of this post and I really hope you will like it !

Background It's been a while since I'm overlooking at 3D printing. 3D Printers are becoming more and more affordable and reliable. Now, printing something is really easy for anyone who is a little bit DIY-minded. I have jumped into a brand new world who is eating my nights ;) Hopefully it just started with my summer holidays !
